Check-in and check-out

The address for Løvtag Bornholm is Krashavevej 40, 3760 Gudhjem.

Upon arrival, you can park in the parking lot. From there, it’s a short walk of just a few hundred meters to your cabin. You are welcome to use one of the hand carts available at the parking lot to transport your luggage.

We do not have a physical reception, so you will access your cabin using a code that you will receive by email prior to your stay.

You have access to your cabin from 3:00 PM on the arrival day until 11:00 AM on the departure day. You are welcome to enjoy the forest before and after your stay.

Dogs are welcome in the cabin Gry

If you book the Gry cabin, you have the option to bring your dog during your stay.

In that case, please select this option when booking your cabin. An additional cleaning fee of 250 DKK will be charged for the dog.

The other cabins are kept pet-free to accommodate guests with allergies.

Please remember that dogs must be kept on a leash when you venture into the forest.

Equipment in the cabins

Think of our cabins as fully equipped hotel rooms in the heart of the forest. They are heated and well-insulated, with electricity and running water, a regular toilet, and an outdoor shower under the open sky, six meters up.

There is even a small kitchen with a combination oven, hot plates, crockery, and the most common kitchen utensils.

Bedding and towels are provided for up to four people, as well as a hairdryer, dish towels, cloths, soap, and dishwashing liquid.

There are blankets and cushions for the outdoor furniture, so you can enjoy the view from the rooftop terrace, even when it’s cold.

Your stay includes a light breakfast, which will be ready for you when you arrive at your cabin.

When you book your cabin at Løvtag Bornholm, you have the option to add the big breakfast menu to your stay.

What to bring?

Although the cabin is fully heated, it can get a bit chilly by the floor during the winter months. So, if you’re visiting us in the colder seasons, it’s a good idea to bring a pair of wool socks or slippers. Also, remember to pack practical footwear for a walk in the forest.

If you plan to swim in the fjord or the sea, please bring your own beach towel.

If you’re a family of five, you are welcome to book a cabin for four people and bring your own mattress, bedding, towels, etc., for the fifth person.

Getting to Bornholm

By ferry:
The trip with Bornholmslinjen from Ystad in Sweden takes 1 hour and 20 minutes. You can either drive your own car or take the Kombardo Express from Copenhagen. Especially in March and November, it’s a good idea to have travel insurance in case the ferry is canceled due to stormy weather.

By air:
If you’re looking for a quick and easy trip, we recommend flying with DAT, which operates flights from Copenhagen, Aalborg, and Billund. The flight takes between 35 and 70 minutes.

Getting to Løvtag Bornholm from Rønne

By car or taxi:
The drive from Rønne to Løvtag Bornholm takes just under 20 minutes. If you’re not traveling with your own car, you can order a taxi through Dantaxi.

By bus:
The bus company BAT operates routes to the town of Rø, but it’s a longer trip—about 70 minutes from the ferry and over 2 hours from the airport. Be sure to bring cash for the bus fare or download the BAT app.

By bike:
An adventurous way to get to Løvtag Bornholm is by bike. There is a nice bike path from Rønne to Rø along the former railway line. The journey takes about an hour, and there are several bike rental companies in Rønne.
